I’m sharing my easy wedding budget hack. Hands down the most valuable, worry-easing resource I can create for you. And I’m giving it to you for free!
Why?
I don’t want you to make a mistake from the beginning. I don’t want you to panic all the way through your wedding budget because you didn’t have this one tool.
A lot of couples come to me after they have booked the wedding venue and they realize they are in need of a lot of help. The instant they pop in the wedding venue cost into their wedding budget, worry rises.
Are you here before booking a venue? You’re in the exact right spot. (If you’re planning a Nashville wedding, I even have a list for you!)
Here after panicking about your wedding budget? It’s not too late. You’re about to have all your wedding budget worries eased.

Wedding Cost Estimator
There are three things that your wedding budget relies on:
- Building your wedding budget priorities
- Guest list or guest count
- Wedding vendor research
I’ve actually built a tool that’s going to help you manage all three steps on one page. When a couple comes to me and schedules a quick 15-minute discovery call, this is the first resource I send.
My Wedding Cost Estimator creates the entire foundation to your wedding. It goes beyond your wedding budget and eases your entire experience.
Wedding Planning is Project Management
The secret to great wedding planning is not acting before you have a good plan. Wedding planners, like project managers, keep everything on track. Would you start on renovations to your kitchen before discussing what you wanted it to look like?
(I hope you’re shaking your head “NO!”)
Couples begin acting on their wedding plans before mapping out where they want to go. They tour gorgeous venues, try on pretty dresses, and book a photographer. Then they start worrying about the wedding budget.
As a wedding obsessed planner— I adore the excitement!!
But we want to avoid the sinking feeling that you’ve made an immediate mistake. Mapping out your foundation and plan of action is as important as booking the right vendors. (If not more!)
The more you talk out these important steps, the easier wedding planning will be for you. You will feel aligned and on your way to stress-free wedding planning.
Building Your Wedding Budget Priorities
The first thing that my wedding budget tool will do is have you map out your wedding priorities. Once my couples have this resource in front of them, I have them make into the best date night dreaming up ideas.
Grab a bottle of wine, scoop out the ice cream, or put on your favorite playlist!
You and your partner are going to create 3 to 4 top goals for your wedding.
These priorities will be your guide when making difficult decisions throughout your engagement. It’s going to align your budget and experience in an instant.

Your Guest Count is Important
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it over and over and over. Your wedding guest count can determine your wedding cost. The same wedding for 50 people will cost less than the same wedding for 175.
It sounds obvious, but the more guests you have will increase your wedding budget.
Your guest count will also give a direct sign of what venues will work for you! Knowing your guest count is a big advantage when you walk into a wedding venue tour.
Counting out your guest list before you talk to vendors will also ensure you are getting the correct quote. (Which means you will be making informed decisions from the beginning!)
Wedding Budget Research
If you’re on social media, you might be hesitant to fill out inquiry forms asking for service quotes. You might have seen wedding vendors complain about “getting ghosted” by clients. Don’t let this stop you from getting quotes from wedding vendors!
I have plenty of couples ask me: “But really?? It’s okay to get quotes from a few different vendors? I’m scared!”
Hear it from me: it’s MORE than okay. I encourage it! Does it feel bad when someone passes on you as a wedding vendor? Sure!
But– (hear me out again!)
You need to be able to compare quotes between vendors to build the correct wedding budget. The right wedding vendors want you to choose the correct vendor instead of stress about the cost.
When I’m in my first phases of full planning for my clients, it is part of my job to shop around with other wedding vendors. If you are planning your own wedding, this is a mandatory step. If you have a wedding planner, this is a large part of their job for you!
