Hosting a winter wedding in Nashville is never more beautiful as when you embrace the season at it’s finest! For Krystal and Nathan, creating the event that would speak to them was a natural endeavor. Choosing The Barn at Sycamore Farms in Franklin, Tennessee, these two creative powerhouses customized their day. With photography by SWAK Photography and planning by Philocalist Designs, this January wedding was magical.

Picking these dainty details and light-catching pieces for their day allowed the couple to truly feature what was most important to their lifestyle– a completely custom wedding dress and suit made by the bride. Her inspiration with this stunning fabric was to mimic snow, because a winter wedding in Nashville does not always guarantee it!

Bride and Groom First Look

Krystal and Nathan chose to add in a first look to their wedding day to ensure they would have amazing light for portraits! With florals provided by Import Flowers of Nashville, she crafted and arranged all of the flowers herself. This was an incredible way for her style to appear, and the personal touches meant everything to this couple.

Cozy Outdoor Ceremony

While most people would opt for a ceremony indoors, it was a beautiful January day for a winter wedding in Nashville. Hosted on the island portion of the Barn at Sycamore Farms, they made their vows and gave a beautiful lead into a teary-eyed ceremony.

Bridesmaids and Groomsmen

With an eye for fashion, they chose colors to compliment their reception tables. Choosing this was an excellent way of tying the design together. The mix and match bridesmaid dresses were a beautiful way to make the peach flowers stand out in their bouquets. Of course, the bride did all of the tailoring to create a perfect finish.

Reception in the Barn

After tying the knot, guests enjoyed a cozy cocktail hour on the patio, and they sipped on signature cocktails. Guests sat at farm tables provided by Southern Events Party Rentals, giving another nod to the color scheme. The alternating cheesecloth runners gave color to match with the bud vases filled with custom florals.
